IoT-Integrated Wind Energy Battery Charging System

A wind-powered battery charging system is developed in this study to harvest renewable energy sources for effective power storage. A 12V rechargeable battery is charged by utilizing a small wind turbine that transforms kinetic wind energy into electrical energy. To control charging and avoid overcharging or undercharging, the system has a charge controller. IoT connectivity is made possible with an ESP8266 microcontroller, which transmits real-time data to Google Firebase, including wind speed, battery voltage, and energy generating status. Through a web or mobile application, users can remotely monitor system performance. This configuration offers an economical and environmentally friendly energy option, particularly in off-grid locations. This project illustrates an effective method for using and storing renewable energy by combining wind power and the Internet of Things.
