IoT-Based Gas Leakage Detection System

This project develops a smart gas leak detection system that employs a MQ-2 gas sensor and an ESP8266 microcontroller to identify flammable gases such as methane, propane, and LPG. Users can remotely track gas levels using a web or mobile application due to the sensor's continuous monitoring of gas concentration and real-time data transmission to Firebase. In the case when a gas leak is discovered, the system initiates Firebase alerts, enabling push, SMS, or email notifications. To avoid possible risks, this enables prompt action. Developed for residential, commercial, and industrial applications the system provides an economical and effective safety solution. The integration of IoT with cloud storage ensures a user-friendly approach to gas leak detection, improves monitoring accuracy and offers dependable data management.
