IoT-Enabled Touch-Based Nurse Calling System

The objective of this project is to improve patient care in medical facilities by developing a touch-based nurse calling system. Patients can use the system to request help by simply touching a touch sensor that is attached to an ESP32 microcontroller. When activated, the technology notifies medical personnel in real time through a cloud platform such as Firebase, providing timely reactions. Nurses' smartphones or a web dashboard can display notifications, which increases the effectiveness of communication. Patients are reassured that their request has been noted by local feedback, including an LED or beep. By decreasing response times and raising patient satisfaction, this IoT-integrated technology optimizes hospital operations. The system offers a practical, scalable, and economical substitute for conventional nurse call techniques because of its user-friendly interface and reliable connectivity.
