Smart Automatic Door Opener with Light Control

An intelligent door automation system is being developed in this project to improve energy efficiency and accessibility. Using proximity sensing, a Raspberry Pi Pico W microprocessor manages a relay module and a servo motor to automate door and light control. When someone is within a certain range, an ultrasonic sensor recognizes their presence and activates the servo motor to open the door. Depending on occupancy, the relay module simultaneously turns on or off the room light. MicroPython is used in the system to provide real-time reaction and effective GPIO management. This hands-free method maximizes energy use, decreases manual work, and increases convenience. It enables consistent automation while improving user experience and security, making it appropriate for public, business, and residential environments.
