IoT-Based Coal Mine Safety Monitoring System

This project uses IoT technology to develop a smart system that ensures coal mine safety. The system uses sensors that are integrated with an ESP8266 microprocessor to monitor vital parameters including temperature, humidity, and levels of dangerous gases. Google Firebase receives real-time data, allowing for remote monitoring using an intuitive web or mobile application. When parameters surpass predetermined criteria, the system initiates alerts, ensuring prompt evacuation warnings. By identifying stranded employees in emergency situations, a motion sensor provides an additional degree of security. This approach, which prioritizes real-time data transmission and cloud storage, is economical, scalable, and energy-efficient. IoT integration improves coal mine safety by enabling smooth monitoring and a faster reaction to dangerous situations.
