Predicting Rumor Spread in Social Networks Using the Equal Responsibility Game Model

The Equal Responsibility Game (ERG) concept, in which users share equal culpability for information disseminated, is used in this study to investigate rumor diffusion on social networks. The model predicts rumor sources and trends by combining machine learning classifiers such as Support Vector Machines (SVM) with game theory. The ERG model reduces the propagation of false information by identifying highly influential users and probable rumor sources by mimicking user interactions and rumor cascades. By preventing the spread of rumors, supporting social media platforms to manage more effective material, and encouraging users to share information responsibly, this approach improves the caliber of online social interactions.
