Head Tilt Controlled Wheelchair for Disabled

In this project, a head tilt-controlled wheelchair is designed and developed to enable disabled people with restricted upper limb movement to easily drive the wheelchair. A microcontroller converts the head motions detected by the system's accelerometer-based sensors into directional commands. These commands cause the wheelchair's motors to react, enabling left, right, forward, and backward motions. A fail-safe mechanism makes sure that in the case of an emergency or a loss of signal, the system will halt. Lightweight materials are used in the wheelchair's construction to ensure its longevity and usability. Testing is conducted to assess user comfort, movement precision, and response time. This project improves the standards of life for people with physical limitations by demonstrating the use of sensor-based control systems in assistive equipment.
